Introduction
Nexus Dashboard
Fabric Controller

About this Lab!

The Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) is the next generation of DCNM (Data Center Network Manager) which is the network management platform for all NX-OS-enabled deployments. In this session, only the setup of the Nexus Dashboard is done for you. You will be hands on with Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) completely from the ground up to discover how easy it is to complete setup, then create various types of fabrics for Greenfield deployments, Brownfield deployments, external connectivity, Multi-Site deployments, and corresponding Inter-Site deployments. All this through the embedded automation within NDFC for VXLAN EVPN fabrics. You will then shift into the role of a network automation engineer and get started with using the Ansible NDFC collection to help manage your VXLAN EVPN Multi-Site fabrics to conclude the session.

For this lab session, each pod has a topology composed of a Site1 that is a brand-new fabric (Greenfield), a Site2 that is an already existing fabric (Brownfield), ExtL3 that will be used for external connectivity, and an Inter-Site Network (ISN) fabric to be used with a Multi-Site Domain (MSD) fabric. Both Site1 and Site2 have Linux servers connected to their normal leaf switches for data plane testing after NDFC handles all the deployment of each of these fabric-types.

At the top of the start of each section, there is a progression bar to indicate where you are currently in the lab:
