ISN Loopback

Nexus Dashboard

We will be creating a loopback in the ISN, this loopback will be use as a BGP peer and Route Server later on the lab.

Step 1 - Create ISN Loopback

  1. Click Connectivity in the top navigation bar
  2. Click Actions
  3. Click Create Interface

Step 2 - Enter loopback information

Set the role of the external device, Core-Rtr, correctly:

  1. Type Loopback
  2. Select a Device Core-Rtr
  3. Loopback ID 0
  4. Loopback IP 44.4.0.1
  5. Route-Map TAG 54321
  6. Click Save
  7. Click X

Summary

You created a loopback interface on the ISN core router that will serve as the Route Server endpoint for Multi-Site EVPN peering. Nexus Dashboard's interface wizard makes it easy to provision loopbacks with the right IP and route-map tags without touching the CLI.
